How can we improve WooCommerce?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. Add apply_filters

apply_filters from WooCommerce is available for use on ```woocommerce_price_display_suffix```.

  2. Add a possibility to set default add-on values

For select box and radio add-on types, it could be beneficial to set a default option. This would be especially helpful if there are many required fields on a product, having default values already filled in would help decrease friction for the customers.

Alternatively, if an option is required but has no default value set, the first option from the list could automatically become the default one. I'm not yet sure what would be the best store owner flow to set this up, so comments will be much appreciated.

  3. Allow addons to apply per-quantity or per-order

Currently, addons get multiplied by the quantity selected for the product. Would be great if there was an option to specify if addon prices should apply per-quantity, or only once regardless of quantity.

  4. Enhancement: Allow multiple uploads within one upload area

Currently, only one upload can be added per upload option, so a user must add as many upload options as they need. It would be best if multiple uploads could be added with only one upload option enabled.

  5. Add compatibility with Catalog Visibility Options

When using Catalog Visibility Options(https://www.woothemes.com/products/catalog-visibility-options/) to disable orders, but show pricing, Product Add Ons options are hidden as well.

  6. Global Add Ons do not give option to multiply by Persons/Blocks with Bookings

When you add a product level add-on to a bookable product there is an option to multiply the cost of the add-on by persons/blocks as seen here: http://cld.wthms.co/1dc2x/1rEWPCQi+

When you add in a global add-on there is not the same option available. This means that if you are offering a large number of bookable products that all offer the same add-ons you'd have to add each one in at the product level as opposed to using the global add on option.

  7. Group name not required

Don't have a need for Group Name, but it's required, or the add-on won't show.

  8. Validation pass/fail flag on required add-ons DOM elements

Add-ons don't do any sort of JS validation (yet) before allowing a product with add-ons to be added in the cart.

However, since the extension is deeply integrated in others that **must** validate user input in the front-end (eg composite products), it would be nice to have at least something 3rd party devs can use to know when an Add-ons input field has valid data or not, even at a very basic level (ie only to ensure that the user has made a selection, without any sort of content validation such as max char count, etc).
