  1. PayPal express availability in the UK

As per the Product page: https://woocommerce.com/products/woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout/ credit cards can be accepted only for US based customers: `Accept PayPal Credit (U.S. only): You get paid up front; customers get time to pay..`

PayPal has made the express checkout available for UK customers now as per https://www.paypal.com/uk/webapps/mpp/get-started-express-checkout

Would love this to be available in the UK too

  2. Smart Payment Buttons are not smart in case of Free Products

I would like to report a problem with the WooCommerce Paypal Checkout Gateway plugin for the developers.

The smart payment buttons really should not show when a customer is ordering a free (virtual downloadable) product.

If the smart payment buttons are disabled, everything is logical.

When enabled, not logical, not smart I think

With the smart payment buttons enabled, when a FREE product is ordered, customers get really confused, because the payment buttons will show allthough the product is free.I have had several customers that got confused in a couple of days now after having enabled the smart payment buttons.

  3. send item SKU to PayPal Checkout

There is no item SKU in the order report generated in PayPal. This is a critical piece of information. I have been told by customer support that WooCommerce does not send PayPal the SKU. I believe this should be amended.

  4. PayPal Checkout plugin templating (when redirects back to checkout page)

Requires possibility to make a template which we can override to customise "stuff" which is displayed when login plugin redirects back to checkout page! Currently it's returns simple paypal user info (like email, name, address), nothing else!
But can not add anything (like some custom fields - subscription checkboxes, plugin (Mailchimp) checkboxes, headings, custom texts or whatever) etc. Most mandatory it becames when using multistep checkouts and customised woocommerce templates (when in returns just simple short info on first step, nothing else; would be nice to add heading - Checkout with Paypal (to make user experience better), customised or with…

  5. Send Variation Information Details to PayPal

Currently, product variation details aren't sent to PayPal for each variable product purchased in an order (ex: Color: Blue, Size: M). Add in the ability to do that.

  6. Free Products? Option to display either Woo Checkout or PayPal Express Checkout buttons based on cart total?

I want to be able to "sell" free products using PayPal Express Checkout ... works if there are other products with value, but not if only one free product.

Is it possible to display the regular WooCommerce Checkout button *instead* of the PayPal Express Checkout button if cart total equals $0.00?

  7. PayPal Checkout Update Line Item Before Capture

Altering an order after authorization but before capture does not update the line-items being sent to PayPal at checkout resulting in an inaccurate receipt for the customer if they check PayPal (woocommerce invoices are still accurate). This could cause potential headaches if a customer gets confused.

  8. Paypal Express Checkout - Optional Add Shipping To Cost

    Hello,

By default, the system appears to assign a shipping cost to the express checkout - even though once the user enters their paypal details they are returned to a 'confirmation page' - where the user can choose a shipping method.

Whilst I can understand adding a shipping cost, I've had concerns from customers that it misleads users on the price - which leads to less sales.

A solution could be to add a checkbox to override the shipping cost that is passed to paypal and a textbox for a default value? I welcome more ideas on this.

  9. Allow the change of labels

As the smart buttons are out now, it would be good if we could have settings within the plugin for all of the style options, including 'label'.

  10. Bug/Feature: Calculate and display tax using address returned from PayPal Express

Issue arises after completing PayPal Express modal from the Cart page using an address that should incur sales tax.
-- At "/checkout/?woo-paypal-return=true" tax is not calculated or(?) displayed correctly.
-- After submitting order "/checkout/order-received/####/" tax is correctly calculated and displayed.
This is too late and a surprise to the customer.

I humbly request that tax calculation at "/checkout/?woo-paypal-return=true" uses the address returned from [Cart] PayPal Express.

  11. Support tokenization to be able to take future payments

Being able to save the customer token, as it happens with the Stripe extension with "Enable saved cards", so plugins can take future payments just by calling the gateway process_payment function.

  12. Loading animation to cover the cart page after the user has logged into PayPal

From the Cart page, after logging into PayPal with the mini browser popup and continuing, the PayPal window closes and the user sees the Cart page again until being redirected to the Order Confirmation page. The Cart page is visible for a good few seconds, and potentially a lot longer if on a slow mobile network, for example.

So, it would be good to have the loading animation and mask cover the Cart page tables after the user has logged into PayPal and the popup closes, to give some feedback that they are being redirected to the Order Confirmation page.

  13. Add Table Rate Shipping support

Basically, when customers pay via PayPal Express Checkout it returns users back to the checkout pay to review the order, but WooCommerce can't find a shipping method, we think this is happening because of how PayPal Express is returning the address back to WooCommerce. When trying to order with the regular PayPal Pro checkout option we do not have this issue.

  14. Add Paypal button on top of checkout page

I'd like to have a Paypal button on top of the checkout form, as it happens with the Apple Pay button when enabled in the Stripe extension.

This way the customer will see:
    Checkout with Paypal
    or
    Buy with Apple Pay
    or
    (checkout form with credit card)

  15. Skip order confirmation page

Since the customer already verifies the amount and address in the Paypal popup, it is redundant to add an extra order confirmation step, and would be better to take the payment and send them directly to the order received page

  18. Redirect to PayPal Wallet on 10486 error

When PayPal returns a 10486 "funding decline" error, we should redirect to the PayPal Wallet, so the customer can select an alternate payment type from their PayPal Wallet instead. This is proven to improve conversions for stores who implement this.

    From PayPal:

    > 1 What is the 10486 processor redirect

A 10486 decline happens when a buyer tries to use a funding source which is not valid (invalid/maxed out credit card). By redirecting the user back to PayPal to choose an alternate funding source, we are allowing them to recover from a bad funding source and continue with the transaction.…

  19. Make checkout button translatable value

    [Forum Ticket ](https://wordpress.org/support/topic/please-enable-translation-for-checkout-button-image/)

We've had a request, as follows:

Please change the following to a translatable value for WPML and other plugins.

    `$express_checkout_img_url = apply_filters( 'woocommerce_paypal_express_checkout_button_img_url', sprintf( 'https://www.paypalobjects.com/webstatic/en_US/i/buttons/checkout-logo-%s.png', $settings->button_size ) );`

    It’s in file:
    `woocommerce-gateway-paypal-express-checkout/includes/class-wc-gateway-ppec-cart-handler.php`

    Thank you!

  20. Allow express checkout from checkout page.

    Topic: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/paypal-express-checkout-redirects-to-paypal/#post-10148136

The " PayPal Express Checkout" payment option on the checkout page redirects to PayPal.com rather than allow the ability to checkout from the checkout page as it does for the product and cart pages.

    ![Screenshot](http://cld.wthms.co/kNQ5WS+)
    Image Link: http://cld.wthms.co/kNQ5WS

Creating option to allow express checkout on the checkout page or redirect to PayPal.com would be ideal.
