How can we improve WooCommerce?


imagine giving a business the ability to circumvent excessive costs like Netsuite or by giving each business owner/site administrator the ability to track the following:

1. Customer Statuses:
a. Leads gained through the site or manually inputed into the CRM database. these are the people who have entered their email address and possibly registered for the site.

b. Opportunity tracking converted from leads whom have been issued a proposal, or who have added a wishlist item of sorts. These are people who have remained engaged with the site and have received a formal proposal from the company or have shown an active interest in a particular product on the site by adding to a wish list.

c. Projects. Obviously this status is reserved for those opportunities that have submitted some form of consideration to do business with you company.

2. Calendar & Events
a. Customers/Participants - this should be selectable from the list of users/clients on the site

b. Location - this may possibly be integrated to Google Maps

c. Description/Agenda

d. Meeting Minutes

3. Tasks
a. Assigned to - this should bring up a list of back end users of the site that would be allowed to access the CRM functions. this could even be reserved for a mobile app to be used by the company's reps.

b. Subject of the Task
c. Due Date
d. Progress
e. Description & Task Requirements
f. Client info
g. Project Info

4. Customer Support Notes
a. Support Notes - this should reallly be a tab within the customer or website registered user menu itself, along with the Customer Statuses information.

5. Customer Transaction History
6. any other crm info anyone might find useful

    Oh, that would be nice. The only problem is WooCommerce is all about money so you will pay for it if it ever happens. Sorry but WooCommerce sucks.

    Have any of you guys tried Users Insights ( It's WordPress native and it look like it coves some of the mentioned features. It automatically tracks all the sales data (ordered products, lifetime value, order status etc). plus it has most of the standard CRM features.

    Best CRM I have seen is Insighly, but neither it nor others dig into the needs of Membership or Subscription oriented CRM. Those needs are more than just a sales pipeline. Important to the CRM solution is a GSuite or O365 integration, which Insightly does have.

    Anonymous is right you do need a CRM to run a business these days. You can use DSYNC to sync customer data, order and product info from Woocommerce to Salesforce, pipedrive and zoho crms.

    It is now 2016 folks and this is pretty core to running a business. Can you update us as to what is happening in the CRM space for Woo?

    I think we should first consider the main purpose of a CRM: to get more customers, or to support us in serve the existing ones well and thus sell them more. I personally second the latter; otherwise the Wordpress database gets overloaded with non-customer data.

    Opportunity tracking would require defining a get-keep-grow funnel first, as in Dave McClures Acquisition - Activation - Retention - Revenue - Referral, define specific actions the user should take on the website and then measure visitor behavior.

    Rather, keep it simple, like Highrise: Contacts, notes, emails - in addition to the existing order statuses. Maybe Freshbooks invoices.

    Tracking of appointments held from a bought contingent would be great. In combination with Bookings or Appointlet.

    A possibility to combine online and offline marketing: like exporting a list of addresses for a mailing.

    @Brandon Don't forget Saleforce. However I really like the idea of a WooCRM, sometimes it is better to not make something yourself if more than one option already exists. But if it is not to much trouble for the Woo developers to build it from scratch (including in-CRM mail program). For inspiration:

    We at 15 Green Leaves, developpers of Blue Origami CRM,
    have built since 1 year a free CRM, IN Wordpress,
    and we are coming end of 2013 with a PRO version that will allows to install Addons, and one of the Addons will be a connections sync between WooCommerce and our CRM Pro version.
    (Pro but cheap)

    Note that in the current free version we dont have a connection to WooComerce of course and that the free one doesnt have Calendar events or Google Map but this is things coming with the Pro version, as core elements for some of them and as addons for some others.

    Hoping this would interest some users.

    We are also considering building a WooCommerce extension in the other side, to connect WooCommerce to the CRM, buyers will have the choice to have the sync from the CRM addons or as an extension of WooCommerce (later for the second option)

    A totally comprehensive CRM that integrates with all other Woo commerce plugins!! I agree with others, pretty urgent!
