From client, "I get my orders on the web and we afterwards then for tax purposes create invoices in Pastel.
That is double work.
The other problem is the stock.
I add stock to both the web and pastel, but if a walk in client buys something it only goes off Pastel and if we forget to update the web
we might sell something to somebody which we do not have."

Anyone still interested in this? I have a solution for a one way sync, Pastel to WooCommerce to update stock and pricing as many times a day as necessary. Relatively inexpensive. Running smoothly on a few websites. https://www.douglasjones.co.za and https://www.adendorff.co.za two examples.

Happy to announce we have just launched our WooCommerce integration!
This means that stock can be sent from all Sage Pastel products (Pastel Partner, Pastel Evolution and sageOne) to WooCommerce.
It also means orders from Woo can be automatically raised as sales orders or invoices in your accounting system.
We have other integration features too, including a multi-channel sales platform and a B2B environment.

The potential market for this is not really that small.
Yes, the UK ( for instance ) eCommerce market is much bigger, but then there is a whole heap more Accounting Software options, while Pastel has by far the biggest market share in SA.
First step is to get someone who can do it, to elaborate on the feasibility, cost and time frame.
Just did a little leg work on this, to justify my last question - Here is what needs to happen to write this
1 - Pay R16k dev license to sage (+ R4k annual)
2 - Build new SDK from scratch for PHP (no PHP SDK from Sage)
3 - Add on API communication on both sides (2 skill sets required to integrate correctly)
4 - Open account server to internet (hmmm... not a great idea if you are on shared hosting)
5 - test, test, test.....
Only south african clients will use the plugin, build cost is going to be high.
What are people willing to pay for this?
What would the cost be and then we can share it?
