Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
Nowadays, many resellers involved in B2B no longer carry inventory on hand. They rely instead on wholesalers. These wholesalers hold the stock and set pricing based on the manufacturer's guidelines. These wholesalers can also, when needed, blind drop ship products to the reseller's end-customer.
These wholesalers have e-commerce capabilities themselves, that can be consulted on an ad hoc basis or through electronic data interchange (EDI), provide on-line, real-time access to the stock they hold and pricing info, which can then be outputted on the reseller's own e-commerce shop.
Developing a plugin that would enable Woocommerce to take in those wholesaler's EDI feeds or securely link to the wholesaler's e-commerce portal would greatly enhance Woocommerce's capabilities. Not to mention eliminate the need to manually create and update a product database, being that such operations are no longer necessary.

EDI is reasonably non-trivial to implement. Here's an interesting method of doing EDI over a VPN as well as other methods. https://www.edibasics.com/types-of-edi/edi-via-vpn/ I'm not sure if any but the largest wholesalers use this method - and those that do business with the Federal gov't. I'm new to retail sales, so maybe I just haven't come across the same vendors, which is entirely quite likely.
Any news on this?
Any updates on this?
