How can we improve WooCommerce?

You've used all your votes and won't be able to post a new idea, but you can still search and comment on existing ideas.

There are two ways to get more votes:

  • When an admin closes an idea you've voted on, you'll get your votes back from that idea.
  • You can remove your votes from an open idea you support.
  • To see ideas you have already voted on, select the "My feedback" filter and select "My open ideas".

Enter your idea and we'll search to see if someone has already suggested it.

If a similar idea already exists, you can support and comment on it.

If it doesn't exist, you can post your idea so others can support it.

  1. Provide a filter for the returned rate name. Include the quoted name as a param.

    I'm a developer working for a client who needs rate names to be explicit to the returned rate, rather than the generic fallback provided on the settings page (i.e. rather than "Priority Mail", they'd like "Priority Mail 2-Day", for example).

    I modified class-wc-shipping-usps.php with two lines of code to accomplish this, and I was hoping you guys could include the changes in a future update. The code in question is:

    > line 618: $quoted_rate_name = strip_tags( htmlspecialchars_decode( (string) $quote->{'MailService'} ) );

    > line 797: $rate_name = apply_filters( 'woocommmerce_usps_rate_name', $rate_name, $quoted_rate_name );

    With this code in place, I'm able to reference…

    • Dimensions are required for APO zip destinations

      When sending a package to `APO/FPO/DPO Overseas Military and Diplomatic Mail` there are additional restrictions which apply. One of these restrictions is that the package dimensions must always be provided.

      The problem is when this is used in combination with this setting for Parcel Packing Method:
      `Weight based: Regular sized items (< 12 inches) are grouped and quoted for weights only. Large items are quoted individually.`

      When doing so the package request does not contain the dimensions.
      When I do this same calculation for sending a package using the USPS online calculator(https://postcalc.usps.com/) I am first presented with a…

      • Add support for Commercial Plus and Commercial Plus Cubic pricing

        Currently, the USPS extension has support for Retail rates and Commercial rates, bu there's also Commercial Plus and Commercial Plus Cubic pricing as well. The Stamps.com extension allows for these rates, so somtimes the rates that the customer pays (delivered by the USPS extension) are different than the actual rates (found via Stamps.com )
        In order for the Stamps.com API extension and the USPS Shipping Method extension to return the same rates, it appears that we need to add support for Commercial Plus and Commercial Plus Cubic pricing.
