My previously mentioned method would cause problems when trying to ADD shipping costs. As Authorize.net will only let you capture a max of the authorize amount. If you don't calculate shipping at checkout, then the card won't be authorized enough to later add the actual shipping charge.

Maybe the extension could be modified to add a (store admin) set % on top of the order total if you setup the method to Authorize only (but disallow the added % if Auth+capture).

If you authorized say an extra 20% to all orders then you'd have some room to manually add your shipping after and finalize manually on Authorize.net.

Would also be nice if there could be a ceiling set for the extra % to be added.

@Rob Benz Wouldn't that be accomplished by choosing Authorize instead of Auth & Capture on the CIM settings currently available in the extension? It won't actually charge your customer until you capture the final value in Authorize.net. It only Authorizes their card for the estimated order amount so that you can be sure funds would be available when you do goto capture. Disclosure: I'm just starting to test with WooThemes Authorize.net CIM extension.
