Restricting access to post types to a certain Membership plan is a great feature of the Memberships plugin, but as long as a post is protected, all its attachement should also be available to members only. At the moment, attachments are still available to non members when someone makes a direct access to their URL.1 vote
Currently a membership plan can end after a specific length of time say one year from purchase, or the membership can be set to start and end on a specific date. But that date needs to not be specific to the year it was purchased. Memberships that run on a calendar year should end on December 31, then members must purchase the membership again on January 1. However, currently once all the memberships expire, new memberships must be created, or the dates for each membership have to be adjusted to the next year and everyone's membership has to be manually revoked. This is not optimal.

The shortcode allows access based on a hard date, would love if the general restriction rules allowed that as well.
Currently "Specific a time" in the overall restriction rules only allows for RELATIVE times, ie 1 day, 2 weeks, 3 months etc.
For timed online programs, it'd be great to set certain pages to be available on specific hard coded dates. IE so everyone in our may class gets access to something on May 17th, just like the hard date delay function.7 votes
Add the ability to share users between two wordpress sites to allow certain users to access certain information on the second site.3 votes
I dont know if it is possible. But it would be cool if you could add or remove users from a facebook group when the user signs up for a membership or the membership expires.
I know that buddypress is getting all the votes, but honestly the trend seams to be that all community features of websites are moved to facebook groups these days.
Forums / buddypress etc are a dying breed these days, so it seams.4 votes
I'd like the ability to create coupons for products—this could be in conjunction with Smart Coupons—and then schedule their delivery independent of the subscription term.
For instance send a coupon for a free product after a 3 month membership. I can do this now if the subscription is paid every three months but not if it is yearly or monthly.1 vote
As long as Membership lets tier users and Subscription deals with site subscriptions, sometimes it would be useful that it will exist another way to relate both things apart from products.
Sometimes you may want to manually assign a Membership to a user but you may also want that this new Membership has de same length as the subscription.
It would be nice if you could let "Subscription-tied Membership length" with "Grant access upon manual assignment only"3 votes
Woocommerce Memberships works well with woocommerce bookings but it would be great if site administrators had the option to grant/restrict content based on a booking being present in the calendar or not for virtual products.
So for example if you have a booking for Jan 5th 2017th to take an online course for example then the user can be granted access to the page. If no one has paid for a booking then the page will remain restricted.6 votes
it will be great if we could purchase a single product to access a certain tutorial page. so far the solution is to create one membership plan for each single product/page access.1 vote
I would love to offer my members a free or discounted product with the purchase of a membership at checkout.
Ex: When a member buys a membership they are given an existing product for free as a signup bonus.
It's really odd that WooMemberships doesn't integrate with "Chained Products".21 votes
It would be helpful to be able to override the Content Restriction Mode set in dashboard>WooCommerce>Settings>Memberships by having the ability to set this differently for each content restriction set-up when creating or editing a membership.
Even greater flexibility could be created by also giving the option of setting the content restriction mode individually in posts and pages etc.1 vote
After searching for a post, to restrict its content on the membership plans page, I only get the post title, not additionally the post ID or the parent post name (if available).
The problem here is following:
If you have some posts with same post title you cannot assign the results to the posts, because the names are the same. So you must use firebug or try our by yourown to see, if you selected the correct post.1 vote
Add the ability to sync members automatically with a Slack team.
- Invite members to a set of groups / channels when the membership is activated
- Remove members when memberships are paused
- Determine whether to remove expired members or move them to a unique channel
I would love to see the ability to have tiered membership levels so we can restrict content easier. Basically adding in option to grant access based on other memberships.
Tier 1 [Free]: Access all Tier 1 content
Tier 2 [Paid]: Access all Tier 2 content + Tier 1 content
Tier 3 [Paid]: Access all Tier 3 content + Tier 1 & 2 content20 votes
Using the "Membership" extension is great for restricting users to products but the WordPress search function ignores all of these restrictions. Making WordPress search aware of these restrictions would allow us to actually use the search function in a WordPress site using the "Memberships" extension.3 votes
add bulk edit feature on Memberships Member page: change membership plan to another existing plan.2 votes
Automated email with account info sent when new member imported and/or new user account is generated
When you import new members and user accounts are generated for them, no notification is sent to the holders of the new accounts.
This means for an imported membership list of 20 contacts, I'd have to send login and password to each of the 20 contacts manually after importation, which really sucks.
An automated email should be sent to these contacts upon successful importation with all the account info or at least the login info in the email.3 votes
Add membership page is not responsive, calendar widgets are not usable on mobile at all.1 vote
Ability to secure downloadable files without needing a product. Example: a club might want to publish AGM papers and minutes to members only, by providing a secured page with links to the files. Even if the link to the file is on a secured page, getting hold of the link means a non-member can see the file because the file itself is not secured. Setting up a free downloadable product is extremely clunky for this application, and doesn't give the opportunity for text around the links.6 votes
When viewing the Members Tab of Memberships, I fully expected to see dynamic links at the top next to "All (###) | Active (###) | Paused (##)" representing each Membership Plan I had created. It would function much like the Group plugin performs on the "Users" interface in that if a group exists, there is a built-in filter link created for that group listing the number of users belonging to that group. In the same way, I expected to see the Membership Plans I had created along with the number of people with Active memberships for that Plan and by clicking the link, it would return a list of the users with just that particular Membership.
NOTE: I do realized I am able to apply filters to the entire lookup, but we regularly track our performance based on the numbers of active memberships (tied to Subscriptions) so this would be a convenience factor more than anything. Doesn't hurt to ask, right?
