  1. Allow buffers to be applied to partially booked blocks

Presently if a buffer is set for a block, but that block has multiple slots, the buffer is not applied until all slots are taken. This is mainly a problem for day based blocks at the moment.

Example: A room is rented and can be rented for up to 100 people. It takes 2 days to reset the room after an event. The buffer is set for the room, but is not applied until all 100 spots are filled, even though they may never be filled.

    What I expected

Buffer to be able to be applied as soon as a…

  2. Minimum bookings per block

The concept is simple. Currently, Woocommerce Bookings allows a maximum number of bookings per block. I would like to suggest a minimum number of bookings. This can be useful for classes or events that require a minimum amount of people to be registered for the event to take place.

The registration would be done in a similar fashion to how confirming bookings works now.

However, it would be better if gateways such as Stripe, would pre-authorize the amount then if the minimum number of people purchase the event, everyone gets charged.

  3. Bookings Rescource - Staff

It would be great to have a separate staff rescource, so that staff members can have their own login and the vendor can manage them. They can update or move a booking to another staff member if they are not able to attend it. They can book their holidays and get paid in the staff module for bookings. You can allocate more that one resource to a booking product for example a room and a staff member as they are the only one with that skill.

  4. When using product add on, make feature to add custom add ons to bookings dashboard on backend, so it can be easily viewed

Right now to see product add on info you have to go all the way into the order, would be nice to be able to easily add your product add on info into one of the colomns on the bookings/order dashboard, so you dont have to click into the order. makes a better overview, so basically an easy way to customize your order/booking dashboard to show the info you feel is most important to access quickly.

  5. Preview Changes for Bookable products

I've got a bookable product that's published and working how I want it. I decide to change the price or add a new availability rule, etc., any kind of new changes. I want to preview the change before updating.

  6. Compatibility with Gravity Forms Multi-Page Forms

Bookings and Gravity Forms multipage forms do not play well together. The issue is that when you click Next to proceed to the next page of the gravity form the booking calendar looses the selection you made on it.

When you click Next on a multipage Gravity Form attached to a product it does a full post back to the server so Gravity Forms can capture the data and move on to the next page of the form. When this occurs the calendar selection is lost.

Is there a way to default a calendar selection when the product loads? Either…

  7. Review of the checkout/notification flow when confirmation required

When paying for a confirmed booking that has an order total of $0 someone trying to pay will be presented with payment gateway choices.

The whole email with pay link part should be skipped or just a link they click about confirming. Once clicked, it will change the status without having to go through the checkout process

  8. Adding Resources with Quantity

    What I expected

When I add a new resource, the only options available are cost related: http://cld.wthms.co/1a4Rw/4LpY55lc

If I 'Edit Resource' I'm then shown the option to modify the available quantity: http://cld.wthms.co/OUIr/389l7K5X

It really tripped me up trying to figure out why I couldn't complete a booking based on the has persons and the max bookings per block I had set to be 16, until I found the resource qty. setting.

I think it would make a lot more sense to also include the qty. setting when you originally create the resource.

  9. Coupon "booking person discount" applicance to a specific person type

If there are different person types, such as "Child" and "Adult", the coupon gets applied to all person types regardlessly. It would be neat if it were possible to assign the coupon to a person type of the booking product.

  10. Deposit

Integrate deposits so buyer can pay an initial deposit when booking (eg. 50%) and it automatically collects the remaining 50% a set amount of days before the course/trip (eg. 45 days prior to the course/trip as per sellers terms).

  11. All Bookings list is not responsive

A user reports that the bookings list table is not responsive on mobile like other tables. I looked and verified, things just get unreadable. It would be good to make that list table more responsive in the future.

  12. Booking edit screen UI improvement?

Currently on the Booking edit screen, the "Booked Product" dropdown lists the products in a hierarchical fashion - unfortunately, if separate bookable products share a common resource it is less than abundantly obvious which product/resource pair I might be selecting. As an example: http://cld.wthms.co/m5zH/4iKLqVZZ

I believe this should be separated out on another dropdown list for resources.

  13. Unavailable resources on admin calendar

For stores that make use of numerous resources, it would be extremely helpful to have a way to display which resources have been scheduled as unavailable during a particular day in the admin calendar.

Would love to open up a discussion on how to prevent the admin from booking unavailable resources.

  14. Developer: need a filter for a Bookable Product’s min_date and max_date

First: It’s great that there are lots of filter hooks throughout this extension (way more than are listed in the documentation). We’re able to use them to tweak functionality in ways that are really specific to our use case.

One great one is the ‘woocommercebookinggetavailabilityrules’, which lets us programatically change a product’s availability on its booking form page based on certain criteria. But we can’t change the earliest and latest available times, which are stored in separate variables (mindate and maxdate) from the availability rules array.

I get why this happens: these are calculated…

  15. Determine Shipping Methods Based on Total Payment

Right now Deposits determines the available shipping methods based on the first payment. Some store owners may want the available shipping methods to be based on the total payments (including ones not yet paid).

Ex. Store unlocks free shipping at $100. User adds a product to the card that's $100 but only has a 50% downpayment making free shipping unavailable.

  17. Compatibility between Bookings and Synced Force Sells by adding Multiply by Persons option

Currently Synced for sells will only add a single item since Booking products do not use quantity.

It would be great if there was an option that you could use Persons in lieu of quantity for Synced Force Sells.

  18. Restrict start days in admin does not honor WordPress week start day

The checkboxes for Restrict start days do not honor the WordPress week starts on setting. This one's straight html if I recall correctly, so not sure if we're able to work on this easily, setting as Enhancement.

    Image Link: http://cld.wthms.co/6rLmGA

    How to see the challenge:

    1. Settings > General , set your week to start on any day but Sunday.

    2. Go into Bookable product.

    3. Go to Availability tab and check Restrict start day.

    4. Day will always start on Sunday.

  19. Multiple Products, One Resource

Here's a situation that Bookings cannot handle with using the Resources.

Think of a hair salon. They have the option to cut someone's hair or monitor tanning beds during the course of an hour long block.

If someone books a haircut, no tanning beds can be reserved. This works fine with the shop owner set as the resource.

But if someone books a tanning bed (the haircut can't be selected, which is perfect), but this person can help up to 5 people with tanning beds (if they have 5) during the hour.

In theory, if a tanning bed is booked,…

  20. Add internal labels for resources, availability rules and cost rules

Booking resources have the same name in WP Admin and product page. If there's many products with the same option names (i.e. several warehouses each with rooms to rent of certain size), there's no way to distinguish which warehouse a certain room belongs to.

Similarly, availability and cost rules can sometimes be quite complicated - it would be nice to label them to understand where they are coming from.
