Paypal checkout does not use popup to log in but a new window. The popup could create incompatibility and slowness.

Allow "Ship to" field to be hidden in the PayPal window
The PayPal API has a variable that suppresses the "Ship to" information that is displayed at the top of the PayPal window. Specifically it is the shippingpreferences variable that can be set to noshipping. I only sell digital products for download and showing a shipping address causes a lot of customer confusion. Please add an option to the extension to allow for this configuration change.

Paypal Checkout - Ability for user to edit Shipping details sent from Paypal on Woocommerce checkout page
Currently when a user selects Paypal Checkout from the Cart/Basket, they then confirm card & address on Paypal and are redirected back to the website checkout page where their Name & Shipping details are captured and are not editable.
Not all addresses provided by Paypal are complete or even correct. This can cause two issues:
1) Woocommerce validation on field values from Paypal throw errors and the customer can't check out or edit/update fields in order to proceed. Example - Paypal addresses can have just a first name.2) Most Paypal users have greater than 10-20 'Gift Addresses' stored in…

Add the option to remove Paypal as a payment method for subscriptions like Paypal Standard had.
Add the option to remove Paypal as a payment method for subscriptions like Paypal Standard had.
Currently only Paypal Standard has the option to hide Paypal for subscription products. Why pay for a function that existed before.

Let the PayPal Smart Button appear in the bottom of the Checkout shortcode wherever that appears, regardless of whatever else is on the page
I've experienced quite a bit of weirdness with the PayPal Smart Buttons not appearing in places or circumstances you would expect them to. There is much more information here: https://wordpress.org/support/topic/paypal-button-not-appearing-in-cart/ This could definitely be sorted out better than it currently is, but a single-suggestion fix would be just making the buttons appear in the bottom of the checkout shortcode regardless (or if there is a reason to not do this for certain use cases, offer the option of forcing it)

Allow users to turn off Refund emails sent to the site administrator
Currently when you refund or reverse a charge that was made via PayPal checkout, an email is sent to the site administrator saying that an order was refunded/reversed. This email is automatically sent if you have PayPal IPN enabled, which is necessary for the plugin to function 100% properly. There is code in the plugin that triggers this email to the admin, but there is no way to turn off the email in the plugin settings.

Add individually text to checkout button
By law text on buy buttons from commercial websites in Germany and Austria must be “Kostenpflichtig bestellen” – this is something like “order with costs” in English.

Add Paypal Checkout button above checkout page
I'd like to have a PayPal button on top of the checkout form, as it happens with the Apple Pay button when enabled in the Stripe extension.
This way the customer will see:
Checkout with Paypal
~ or ~
Buy with Apple Pay
~ or ~
(checkout form with credit card)Other payment gateways (i.e. amazon pay) do already do the same: https://cld.wthms.co/77dDi5

send item SKU to PayPal Checkout
There is no item SKU in the order report generated in PayPal. This is a critical piece of information. I have been told by customer support that WooCommerce does not send PayPal the SKU. I believe this should be amended.

Send Variation Information Details to PayPal
Currently, product variation details aren't sent to PayPal for each variable product purchased in an order (ex: Color: Blue, Size: M). Add in the ability to do that.

Loading animation to cover the cart page after the user has logged into PayPal
From the Cart page, after logging into PayPal with the mini browser popup and continuing, the PayPal window closes and the user sees the Cart page again until being redirected to the Order Confirmation page. The Cart page is visible for a good few seconds, and potentially a lot longer if on a slow mobile network, for example.
So, it would be good to have the loading animation and mask cover the Cart page tables after the user has logged into PayPal and the popup closes, to give some feedback that they are being redirected to the Order Confirmation page.
