'Daily Deal' product widget
I would like to have a "Daily Deals" widget that could be featured on the home page to help bring visitors back to the shop regularly to check out the latest heavily discounted item.
I'm looking for a way to present one product with a countdown and count of items sold - similar to http://templatic.com/demos/?theme=dailydeal.
I'm not after a daily deals theme, just a widget from which you can choose a product to feature as a 'daily deal'.
Basically a featured sale item with a countdown.

Beeketing has both product sliders and countdown timer in up-sell offer, which can do exactly what you say
You can use the Woocommerce Products Scroller extenstion ot do this task for you. I just got the Widget to show multiple products along with animated transitions (7 animations) and multiple themes (16 themes). You can manage all the productst from the admin panel. So, all is under your control.
You can check at :http://products.solvercircle.com/wp-woocommerce-products-scroller/
I hope this helps you.
This has been implemented with Matt's limited Deals Extension: http://shop.mgates.me/shop/wc-products/wc-limited-deals/?affiliate=woothemes as well as the Product Countdown plugin here http://codecanyon.net/item/product-countdown-wordpress-plugin/4929462

But not as a theme but just as a new produkt in that powerfull WooC..... :) give it to me :)

PS: or you could use the "Featured products" widget and name/call it "Daily Deals"?
