Points and rewards plugin
Some issues I had with points and rewards, and why I will probably not use it and look for another plugin: This is what I wrote to support and they suggested i post it here and customize myself.
Hi! I want to activate the plugin but I am running to some issues I don't know how to solve. First- when I activate the plugin, the rewards program starts running, there's no "enable" or start checkbox. It starts without giving me a chance to try some settings before I am sure of how I want it to work.
2. I have wholesale users and retail users using my site. I want to enable the rewards for retail users only and exclude wholesale users. Or even better- select different levels of rewards for different user types.
3. The rewards are added for a purchase amount and not by the actual total paid. For example- if my checkout has 35$ worth of products in it, I still get 35 points (1 point=1$) even if I used credit or coupon and paid 20$. This could cause a dilution of $ worth- where customers can use the rewards credit and get more rewards and so on and spend less and less- it doesn't make any sense.
4. How can I know or control what email notifications the customer is getting? if I adjust a points record for customers- will they get notified? How can I control the email sent? If I want to launch with +100 points for everyone- I want to announce this in my mailing system, but i don't know if they are getting any notification on this.
I am going to deactivate again, I want to use the plugin but these issues are making it hard to know how customers will use it and I don't have the confidence in the plugin to use it. I would love to get answers for this so that I can use the plugin during this holiday season.
