Pre-orders plugin allow other products to be added to cart
Currently, the pre-order plugin allows for only one pre-order product to be added to the cart. If there are existing products in the cart, the pre-order plugin wipes the cart clean. It would be great to be able to order other products while pre-ordering another product.

That's ridiculous you cant add more than one product!! Refund request on its way!

Yes please! Had to refund customers for paying double shipping costs, because the plugin wasn't able to handle more than 1 pre-order at a time.

This is definitely a major requirement for most web stores. The added value of the plugin without it is very limited!

I agree!! Very annoying and inconvenient to have customers make multiple purchases!

This limitation makes the plugin unusable because customers will purchase dozens of items on pre-order at once. My client has only one supplier so all pre-ordered products arrive at once, and customers can only put pre-orders in their cart, so the complexity is removed.
Even so, I'm sure it's possible to add a feature where an order can be given the status Partially Processed, and where the status of each item in the order can be recorded individually

While I understand the ease of only allowing for (1) pre-order product at a time, its a MASSIVE disservice to customers (like mine) looking to add multiple products to one order and waiting for ALL of them to become available.
My customers don't want to pre-order one product at at time, because they don't want to submit multiple orders for pre-order products especially when most of those products will become available the same day. Why make them submit multiple orders, potentially having to pay for multiple shipping costs, for products that are available for pre-order and will be available on the SAME DAY?!?!?

I just purchased this plugin yesterday. My site will be heavily using Pre-Orders moving forward. I was using YITH, but thought it'd be best to use WooCommerce instead. If this can't or won't be fixed in the next 29 days, I will have no choice but to request a refund and go back to using YITH's plugins. Patiently waiting for an urgent update. Thank you.

This is mad - when there is a simple bit of code on stackoverflow to allow multiple pre-orders at the same time, why hasn't this been added?

Ok, I admit that handling pre-orders and products at the same time might be hard but YITH manages it no problem. -

I understand that it's difficult to handle normal products and pre-order products together, when one needs immediate payment and the other uses "pay later".
But when you add a second pre-sale product with the same payment date, this must be possible to check out both together!

Please add this feature. I have a client that deals heavily with preorders and her customers have complained about this

+1 It's insane to now at the very least allow multiple pro-order products!

This request has been here since 2013. So I doubt it that they'll actually implement this feature anytime soon, if ever. However I plead that this get fixed ASAP. The absence of this feature practically null-and-voids the plug-in as our customers want to purchase multiple pre-order items of the same type, released on the same day but have to pay multiple times for shipping. This is pushing our customers to our competitors as this feature is lacking.

This is a must ! It's a non-sense that users have to do 2 different orders to have two products delivers at the same address, 2 different payments, ...
