Can a Product Add-ons be an actual product?
Meaning it does not add just a price modification but an actual product in the cart.

I think this would be great. Compsite products almost accomplishes this but the problem comes down to shipping costs where it allows only a combination of all composite products to determine shipping costs or for the top level product to determine shipping costs.
