WooCommerce Memberships: bbPress integration
This would add the ability to restrict forums, topics, and replies from bbPress to members with WooCommerce memberships. This could also have advanced features, such as the ability to make profiles public / restricted.
bbPress users, what's important to restrict? How would you like to protect forums to members?

Hereditary restriction would be great. Option to see subject/topics but not the content of the topics and replies would also be great for SEO.

I would also love to see a better integration into bbpress. This is a must-have for us.

Anyone have bbpress and woocommerce memberships working together with user restrictions? I find that my admin can view/comment/post all topics, but users with "participate" permissions cannot view any topic content. They can respond/post however but no content ever displays. Please reply if there is a work for this! Forum content must be hidden for anyone without the permission to view.

I would like to be able to drip available subforums to members based on time.

I'd really like to find a way to assign a customer to a conversation based upon their purchase.
Essentially, Customer A purchases a ticket to Event X, and gains access to the Event X forum to discuss getting together with other attendees. Even better if Event X could be divided into subgroups (10AM show, Noon Show, 2PM Show).

Any improved compatibility would be appreciated! A single area to sign in to a website, where a user can manage their purchases of products and their membership subscriptions, plus update their forum details. It would make for a simple user experience! :)

I would like to have my clients use one username and password to access my woocommerce store plugin, my woocommerce membership plugin, and my woocommerce forum plugin.
Thus I would love it if you could add features to the bbPress plugin and make those features match the features that are available with the woocommerce membership plugin.
I hope I am making sense, since I have not had either a store, a membership area, or a forum. I just know I want my forum plugin to match the capabilities of the membership plugin. And I want my clients to be able to login to all three with only one username and password.

I really want that membership gives auto access to a forum but particularly one that is only viewable by members not just only witable by members. We are currently using bbP Private Groups to make a forum private.. this seems very clumsy

I would love to see memberships integrated with the buddypress account page. Having the user access the members area from here makes the most logical sense.

I am not clear on one thing after reading the doc.
Can you restrict access to all topics via direct url access or every time a new topic is created you have to restrict access to it, which seems a bit crazy.
I have removed the forums from my XML sitemap and using the Yoast settings have set them to NoIndex but direct access still needs stopping.

Inheritance would be great; being able to restrict forums and all topics (irrespective of accessing URLs directly), rather than applying this individually would be awesome.

I have my forum set to spectate to keep out spammers and I really need to be able to set a users forum role to "X" when they purchase a membership.

To clarify this -- you can restrict forums and topics with "Hide completely" or "Redirect to page" restriction modes. This feature would add:
- the abiility to use "Hide content" mode
- restriction around profiles
- (potentially) the ability to restrict a category, and automatically extend this restriction to any forums in that category (currently child forums don't inherit the category restriction)along with suggestions here that are possible / valuable for other users :)
