Product Vendors: Allow vendors manage coupons with their own products
I think it would be a good idea vendors can manage coupons with their own products.
The admin site also can manage their own coupons.on the vendors products
The vendor can only manage their own coupons on their own products.
I'm surprised it's not there! Other vendor extensions have had this and other options for a long time. Other vendor extensions have 10 times more options. I think that Product Vendors stopped in its development.
I chatted with support about this well over 6-months ago, here's what they said:
For the coupons, It is a known issue that the coupons are not 100% kosher when used on a product vendor item. What this means is that it should be deducting the total of the coupon and then the commission being paid out of the total, not the 'original price'.
that issue was listed as a bug on the plugin 32 minutes ago, which is why I was not seeing it right away.
Also, they were in talks with the ability of the coupons area to be expanded to vendors, meaning they can just create their own coupons.
The idea was located by the developers themselves, and it is on the ideas board here: https://ideas.woocommerce.com/forums/133476-woocommerce/suggestions/9865959-product-vendors-allow-vendors-manage-coupons-with
So I think that particular thing will get some traction since there is discussion about it.
But who knows if they'll ever do it, it seems this plugin is their lowest priority

Why hasn't this been done yet? There should be an option when creating a new coupon to limit the coupon to a specific vendors products...

we are discussion to switch to Product Vendors to operate four marketplaces. However, we need to give our vendors the possibility to create and manage their own coupons. Is this feature planned for a future release?

We have to do this! It makes a lot of sense to give vendors control over their own product coupons. I'm just building my marketplace and 4 out of my 7 first/potentially vendors ask that question
