Content drip or sequential delivery of course material over time
Content Dripping is the delivery of content, courses, new material over time – in a pre-scheduled manner.
Being able to setup up a course that drips out to new customers 'X' days (hours, minutes) after they sign up or to slowly release content so customers don't download everything and then ask for a refund.
This could be a sensei extension

This is now available as a Sensei extension. You can purchase it from http://www.woothemes.com/products/sensei-content-drip/ or read more about it in our blog post at http://www.woothemes.com/2014/11/sensei-content-drip-set-the-pace-your-students-learn/

I want to drip the second and further lessons 1 day or 1 week after the start/the first lesson. What I can do now is the content drip for the first lesson on a specific date (I start my courses everytime on a specific date) and then automatacly 1 day or week after that date. So when a subscriber subscribe at the 2th of the month and the course/thirst lesson start on the 15th and I set the second lesson on "start 1 day after started course", then the content drip of lesson 2 is on the 3th. It should be very nice if there is a possibility to have a content drip "start 1 day/week/month after the startdate of the 1th lesson". So they get regardless of the registration date, the 1th lesson on that specific date and the second lesson 1 day after that specific date. Thanks!

I think is desirable to have a drip feature, lesson progress should still remain in the users hands when they complete a lesson it’s marked complete.

It would be nice to have both the prerequisite module/lessons as well as a time frame. If I want my students to have access to a specific module (module 2) seven days after they have started Module 1 and so on.
Many of our courses are designed to release the new chapter (module) once a week for 14 weeks. After the 14 weeks the next class can sign up.

I am creating an online member area (preferably subscription based) for a step by step wedding planner. It would be useful to drip the content out slowly over time vs just bombarding them with hundreds of pages of information all at once.

I have a box a month program that includes online resources. I currently have to use groups to give subscribers access to the resource page for the month. I would also like to give access protected downloads, but have not found a way to do this yet.

I also had hoped to see the drip feed in the last update. Although I had a glitch (ok issue) trying to integrate Sensei with Divi Theme I did find a work around, Other than that Sensei is very user friendly. I do not wish to change to another program but really do need the drip feed for upcoming courses/programs.
Hope to see it soon.

Under a free membership site, I would like to offer a 12 week course that reveals one lesson per week from the time the student signs up for the course.
The intent is to time with a mail chimp auto responder to say next lesson is available and keep them coming back to the site and lessons.
Cheers,
Fred

I'm surprised no one has given you this as an example of a working drip feed for lessons:

This could help to implement the idea???

I have a library of courses that we need to limit to 3 months. It would be great if we could set the length of time (days, week, or months) that a course is available.

I currently do a 7 or 10 week program so having "drip content" is a necessity. Having the capabilities of delaying content for 7 days, 10 days or ANY specified time is essential for me as we move into our next phase of offering online courses.

I need for this to be included in sensei, so I can use it for all my clients with membership websites.
I uses groups & subscriptions, but a lot of them are asking for drip content capabilities....I would hate to have to change plugin just because it is not available ....So is it in the works and if yes how long before sensei provides drip capabilities ?
Thank you so much for answering if possible :)

We have a definite need for this functionality. We need this functionality for lessons. We have it set up right now so you can't move to the second lesson until you have completed the first lesson. We would also like to say that you can't start the second lesson until 7 days after completing the first lesson.

We'd love to have this ability to help differentiate customer groups for access to membership content.
e.g. First time students get dripped course content, but graduates have access to all content.

This would be so incredibly helpful to have as an extension! I'm so glad this is happening :) :) :)

I think this would be a useful feature. We would also like if a final lesson could not be attempted until all other lessons is a course were completed.

I also need drip content for my course to drip the lessons on a daily basis. Currently I work with wishlist to make sure that my students don't rush through the course. They can only complete one lesson per day. This would make Sensei perfect if it was added as an option. Or an integration with wishlist that allows me to set levels of access per lesson.

I agree content drip feeding is very important. I am setting up a 12 month course and do want subscriber to be able to access the content before the start of the next month, that way they cant just rush ahead, or download all the content! At present i have manually grade each lesson for each student on at the end of each month to restrict their access to content, which is time consuming and subject to me having to spend a lot of time each month which other programs already automate
