WooCommerce.com Ideas

  1. Ability to disconnect domains from WooCommerce account

As Aqqii we build and maintain webshops and for that reason we connect customer-domains to our WooCommerce-account. It would be great to have the ability to disconnect domains from our WooCommerce account.
I mean from the WooCommerce login on the web, not from the domain (in WP Dashboard - WooCommerce - Extensions).
    Thanks!

  2. Possible to automatically add product categories to the WordPress Menu?

Currently manually adding categories to existing departments is an issue as may forget to add when new items get imported.

Causing missing categories at the top menu.

Would be good to be able to configure and set the way categories will be added to the departments.

Some prefer the menu to have all the Departments across and some like my self, prefer a Shop By Department (Vertical hierachy) type.

  3. Amazon Smile Like Donation Plugin

I want to donate a portion of my sales to charity, and let buyer choose the charity from a list at checkout that I (as the seller) would provide. The extension could calculate the amount (based on a percentage that I designate) of donation. This was submitted years ago but the solution did not meet the need mentioned.

  5. Ability to assign Admin users for client accounts

I manage woocommerce.com accounts and plugins for multiple clients, and it is very difficult to log in and out of their accounts using the wordpress.com logins. It would be extremely helpful for clients to have the option to grant full administrator access to their accounts, so developers can manage them from one account. This would be similar to the collaborator option already in place, but with full admin access with the ability to purchase and renew plugins. Most business owners do not want to be bothered by logging in to woocmmerce.com and buying or renewing a plugin.

    Many other websites…

  6. Compensate those of us the "bought in" to the UNO child theme being retired

I think you guys should do something for those of us that bought in to the "next greatest thing" and purchased Canvas and UNO. Now, just seven months after purchasing Canvas and UNO, as well as lots of time and money spent on development, UNO is being retired with the introduction of the next greatest thing, Storefront (audit's child themes).

I think you guys should offer some sort of discount for those of us that "bought in" (literally and figuratively) to Canvas child themes and now need to switch to Storefront and Storefront Child themes!

  7. Release woothemes own zendesk ticket integration as a plugin

Woothemes has a nicely integrated zendesk ticket system on its own platform at

    https://www.woothemes.com/my-account/tickets/

It would be great to see a woothemes plugin that made this available for woocommerce installs

  8. Make woothemes updater more multisite compatible

We have a multisite install with several domains. The issue with the helper plugin to keep your plugins up to date is that the plugins need to be network activated.

We have the: groups for woo, woo gateway CIM, and woo subscriptions. The problem is network activating those plugins adds unnecessary tables. We have those plugins only activated on one domain.

Please update the helper to be a bit smarter on allowing you to register your plugins for updates. We just noticed we were many versions behind and it sucks having to go and login to your account to manually…

  9. Make shipping modules more affordable!

Make shipping modules more affordable! A real deal breaker for me was finding out that shipping was not included in WooCommerce. After pricing the cost of adding shipping modules, it turned out to be cheaper to buy another solution where ALL of the basics were already included -- Magento. Come on guys! $79 for USPS plus another $79 for Per Product Shipping, plus more for FedEX, plus MORE & MORE & MORE. Very disappointing. Almost $300 for just a complete shipping solution.

  10. Create a Woocommerce pro and put everything into one plugin as opposed to having a bunch of plugins that keep needing to be updated.

Why not offer a premium Woocommerce version that includes everything required to run a shopping cart without having to run 10 different plugins.

I know it's about making money but this is what's making Woocommerce a difficult choice for when I design clients websites. They want shopping carts and Woocommerce just becomes to painful with the amount of plugins.

  11. WooThemes Support Escalation

    =========================

    WooThemes Support Escalation

Considering the you have now launched "WooCommerce Bookings" it would be both a great demonstration of confidence in your own product, and another way to monetise your site by offering a "Support Ticket Escalation Service". This could be a one-off payment that would escalate the customer's Support Ticket to a 24-hour or suitable time frame. I have a small business and have situations where I require a different support response to normal and would be happy to pay $20-30 ofr an escalated level of support/response. Particularly in situations where my site may be down.

  12. True-up renewals (band-aid pricing)

I've got several renewals coming up. These are add-ons purchased a few weeks/months apart during site setup and refinement.

It would be nice to have the option to true up these subscriptions to the same renewal date. Pro-rate the difference for whatever is coming up.

This would avoid me going to my boss/client/mother/gandolf multiple times hearing them gripe about yet another WooCommerce fee. All at once would work nicely.

Call it band-aid pricing. Get it over with one quick shot.

  13. Enable SSL for the documentation

Currently docs.woothemes.com is not enabled (it does have an invalid certificate though). This forces me to include an unsecure link in my web site that will couse a security warning in Google Chrome. Please enable HTTPS on docs.woothemes.com so that the security warning will disappear.

  14. Change log details for ALL products

Can we please, please see change logs displayed INSIDE the update details area within Wordpress.

Currently, we need to play hide-and-seek with each individual change log on your site to find what has changed.

It would really save everybody a lot of time if we have a simple overview inside Wordpress update area that shows what the latest changes are.

Every other plugin does this! Please, please fix this and save all of us valuable time.
