    One way around this is to enable 'edit in cart' which then puts a little "edit this product" link under the primary / base composite product in the cart. Users can then click this link or on the base product to go back and edit that product and its selected accessories.

    By the way, we also used CSS and "LocoTranslate" to relabel and style the 'edit this product' link to make it more prominent on the cart page.

    Same actually seems to apply for Composite Product 'Advanced Settings' too, not being pulled through via import or export. Really need to map all fields available to configure in the admin.
